Adipose Tissue is a Rich Source of Adult Stem Cells

Why harvest MSCs from Adipose Tissue?
		It is an amazingly rich source of MSCs	500 times higher concentration than in bone marrow
		It is readily available	we need only 50ml, which can easily be obtained
		It is autologous, adult tissue	no ethical or immunological issues
		It is normally discarded anyway	why waste such a golden resource?

What purpose can the Cryo-Lip samples be used for?

There are two main applications:

		Cosmetic Use
		Plastic Surgeons often use lipofilling (the transfer of own fatty tissue from one part of the body to another part) as a way to sculpture the body. This procedure can also be used as an anti-aging therapy or for cosmetic surgery. Facial rejuvenation is a good example, particularly around the eyes and nose, the lips and cheeks.

		Use in Regenerative Medicine
		Some applications in regenerative medicine are already proven e.g. the treatment of urinary incontinence in older women and in men after prostatectomy surgery, whilst others are being evaluated in ongoing clinical studies e.g. wound healing diabetes and heart failure.

Cryo-Lip can be offered to patients by physicians who have registered and completed an online training course.

In practice the process entails the following:

		Collection of 50 ml adipose tissue, using a patented syringe system

		Transport by courier to our specialized laboratory for processing, QC and cryopreservation

		Cryo-storage on an annual basis, to be extended as required

		When needed, patient samples can be released as lipoaspirate, a concentrated mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) mixture or an expanded MSC population.
